If you believe we can only become what others say of us. Their words will dictate you. We can be lied to. The truth is, we can become more, so much more.
Broken is about cycles and seasons. It's about people who come in and who go out. It's just about daily events of growing up. Some of my everyday events during those years shock many who know me today. Writing the book was fought against by many people who would have rather left well enough alone. Why bring up the past I kept hearing from people while Father God kept whispering in my ear, " I am the God who heals thee, I am the God of restoration and I am the God of redemption, write your story Tom so people will know who stands before them. A man tested by the fire of Hell itself.
This book saw much resistance, the spiritual warfare was intense as it should be. This book has touched everyone who has ever read it. When Tom first wrote "Broken" he was an established Christian/minister for seventeen years, as of this writing he's been walking faithfully with Him for 35 years. So there is so much more to the story that has yet to be written and told.
A side note; Broken was originally written in 2001 and was officially released in 2005. It has seen two printings thus far. We are in the process of transferring this book into an e book. It is going through an editing process and new cover design. We know you'll love the finished updated product. Look for it soon.

Hi Tom: ...Just a note to tell you how much your book has changed my life . As a practicing Buddhist , I assumed that God and Christ had essentially "written me off" spiritually. After reading your book and learning about your many struggles and sufferings, I now realize that God has never left me. Reading "Broken" is a healing balm for the soul to anyone who has been disillusioned or wounded by mainstream religion. Tom Hayden's testimony gives hope to the weary spiritual sojourner. It is a testament to the awesome and far-reaching power and love of God extended to all who choose to receive it. Thank you , Tom , for sharing this wonderful gift.
Dear Tom, I just want to say thank you for your intimacy with the Father!
Some time last year you gave Stan & I a prophecy! I suffered much, because a few years ago, I was deeply confused about so many things, that I allowed myself to drift away from the source and breath of my life, which is intimacy with the Father. I worried about so many things that was happening, esp. the new direction of the Lord, which was severely attacked. A few days ago Holy Spirit reminded me of what you said! That I should not try to fight in the battle, which would drain away my strength, but to come into the Garden and rest with the Lord! I made intentional efforts to do this, and the Lord restore my lost intimacy with Him, which I missed so much, more than I realized! Thank you for talking to the Father & helping me to see where I had failed Him! My life is no meaning & purpose, without constantly meeting with Him in the wonderful Garden! I'm eternally grateful that He has other children who has been there, and who understands!
Blessings in Christ! Sandra M.
THE OCCULT vs. THE PROPHETIC!!!Can the occult give rise to the prophetic? Is there really even a difference? Is it really as clear as evil vs. good; darkness vs. light; harmful vs. helpful? Of course, for those of us who have had deep experiences with both, we know there are important differences. . . and we also know that there are many similarities. In today's world, we have books and movies about children mastering spells and incantations to protect themselves and others. In today's world, we have television shows with starlets envisioning dead people and unsolved crimes in the name of justice. The fact is that these depictions in today's world are merely shadows of another world. While Broken is inclusive of (but not limited to) the paranormal, it is dedicated to the deeper, core workings of the spirit world. Thus, this book reveals the twists and turns, narrow roads and broad pathways, comtemplations and choices that must be made as one walks what some might term 'the Way."In the end, Broken may break every assumption, presumption, and judgement you have ever made about both the occult and the prophetic. As you embark on this journey of revelation with Thomas Hayden, pay attention. Your very life may depend on it. Dashan S.
Just in time for the changing times of our supernatural curious society, Broken takes a deeper look at the ins and outs of one man's journey into deep practices of the dark side. While today's society is fascinated with the occult and glamorizes it through kid friendly movies and even cartoons, Prophet Thomas Hayden brings a realistic balance to the understanding of the ugliness of the enemy's tactics and wiles. This best seller captivates reader's attention world wide, as this man's tragic life meanders through many of life's dangerous turns to end in a way that will thrill your heart. DFH Ministries
Hello Tom: First of all Blessings and more blessings! One word: INTENSE That's what I have to say after finishing the book. Spiritually and naturally your journey has been intense! I have learned many things reading this book. The #1 is the God never leaves our side no matter what we decide to do and what path we take. I saw how you wanting to cling on to the "ideal marriage, white picket fence thing" only caused more damage and pain to yourself and your family. I noticed that God said once that He had something else planned for your sentimental life but because of your own fears you changed the course of that... I came to see many things in my life have been permitted for my growth and other i have stalled them because of my decisions... My husband reads slower than me, his first language is Spanish so he has to read English slower so he can understand it better. He is around page 68 more or less. Charlene Tampa Fl
Hey Prophet Tom....It's Vicki W. I am in Texas and you sent me your book Broken a few months ago. Not sure if you ever got my im about what an awesome story it was. But, basically I said that while reading your salvation testimony, (I was in the Dentist's office, no less) the anointing that came over me was incredible! Thank you so much for writing and sending it my way. I devoured it in less than 2 days!!! I couldn't put it down!!!!
Broken is a book you will want to add to your library. You will need to read it more than once. You may also want to keep a journal while reading. Every time you read it you will see a different story. The first time I read it I saw a story of God's grace. The next time I saw a love story on many levels. Then you can read and contemplate the questions. You may be surprised what you will learn about yourself. Walk through the journey. Diane NC
Dear Tom I have been to Germany for the weekend for another Job interview. On my way back to London I read your book. I have had tears in my eyes pretty much throughout reading. You really have an amazing life story to tell. I can relate to a lot of what you have gone through as I have been through quite a lot of similar things and I am still trying to sort out my life in certain areas of. I have never felt I could tell anybody as I felt so ashamed of my past but now you have encouraged me through your book to open up and receive the healing God has for me. Ulrike, Germany
I loved your book. I cried through most of it.Yes, I would use it and yes I would give it to someone and yes I would use it to witness! The price was great because you gave it to me. Ha ha.Just being funny. But seriously, it is outstanding.Yes to every good thing you asked. And once again, thank you for your generosity. Deb F.
Tom I enjoyed reading Broken because it was a good testimony on how God worked in your life. People can relate with things that happened to you because you were so candid. Also, I learned a little about some of the New Age things that you were involved and how it relates t to "the invisible war" that is fought.Cover designed was done well. Questions for Reflections made for some good thought.Looking forward in reading another one. John P.
Tom, I just wanted to let you know that I read through the first 100+ pages of your book. I was drawn in to the point where I couldn't stop reading. I am NOT a reader by nature, so that's saying something. Mitch S.
Hello Mr. Hayden, I just want you to know that I couldn't put the book down "Broken". The life experience you wrote about - is so inspiring. I dept on thinking about God's Love and how vast it is. It is so AMAZING. I always thank the Lord for men and women who are obedient to His will (I pray that I will be too.) I want to say THANK YOU for writing the book. I gave 7 copies of your Broken book to people I know at it has been a blessing to them as it was to me. - especially for my sister(s) and church family. I am truly blessed to have been able to read what you've written and I look forward to others... Lil A. Anchorage, Alaska
Hello Tom, I've needed to write to you for a few days now. I finished reading your book Broken that you sent to me. I know I have not communicated in awhile as the last couple times we exchanged emails you asked that I read your book....I'll tell you what happened with a little background.....First off, I do not usually read for 'enjoyment' purposes. Typically if I read in my spare time it will be something that is a teaching item, devotional teaching items, etc but not usually story type things. I wish I did like to read more for myself. The reason why I do not is because that is what I do....allll dayyyy longgg with my job! :) I work for a hospital and I read charts, documentation, op notes, doctors writing, etc all day long, usually 10 hour days, so as you see the last thing I want to do when I'm finished is READ! :) Haha.... That being said, after you asked me for the second time to read your book I immediately picked it up and just flipped it open and read one random page. Tom I was hooked!... I kept on reading 2-3 pages after that. I have never picked up a book to my remembrance and been that pulled in. So immediately I went to the front and started. That weekend I read almost half the book. This is unheard of for me.... I get restless and tired... not so with your book. It did still take me awhile to finish it subsequently though... a couple trips that were planned kept me busy and then my heart was crushed as I lost my Grandpa out of the blue. This was a very difficult thing to go through, still is, and I could go on and tell you about it but I wont at this time. The point is, I finished it in record time (for me) and I was captivated through every aspect. Tom I know that you do not know me, and I'm sure you hear things like this often... but nevertheless I will say it anyway.... I am amazed at your life. Please understand, while I do not know you I'm sure I am right about this--you don't want the attention, praise, and credit for the things you've done/overcome, and life. It is all God and His amazing power. But Tom please allow me to say I am amazed at your choices. You went through tribulations that I do not even want to imagine.... you chose to do right through impossible circumstances and situations that even the strongest Christian would crumble under. I am amazed that you could exist after all that happened. I'm amazed that you made the choices continually that you made. And I honestly even find it scary the things God allowed you to walk through. It keeps coming to my mind the process of pottery being made, the molding, the FIRE, the glaze, more FIRE, ....the pain, the pressure, the heat.... I give God credit, praise and glory for all that I read. That HE could create a person like you, and create in that person the willingness, ability and stamina to endure all those things. His (your) book could be a movie. Thank you for the gift of your book.... for sharing your life and sending it to me. I am truly thankful and honored to have had the chance to read it and seemingly 'walk with you' through your story. Please know, I am not saying anything I have said as a critique', I am as much of a 'lay' person with literature as you will ever come across.... but the way the book was written, the content was excellent, descriptive, and captivating. I could see it and feel the emotion from it. God has graced you with an incredible writing talent indeed. Thank you again. Blessings, Nikki
Hello Tom, My brother and friend! I've been wanting to write you and let you know that I'm enjoying the CD you sent and I've been reading your book for the past two days non stop and I can't believe things like this happen to real people. This sort of things I see in a movie ( where they tend to over dramatize everything), but to know that to one single person so much can happen is overwhelming for me to comprehend. But the same way God comes in and turns everything around for the best of us and for His Glory. I'm almost done with the book, I'm right now in the chapter Acts of God in Book Two. I've had many emotions arise reading this book and remembering things of the past and things I saw in other family members and can now understand why they did things and said things that hurt so many people, including me. I've come to forgive many but still feel hurt and abused. But I came to understand many years ago that all that happened because God wasn't in any of our lives. This word that you sent out is so encouraging and refreshing and I long to be in His presence and to impact others for His Glory and their salvation. I have used the scripture: I'll never leave you nor forsake you" in many moments of my life and it's my favorite quote on my Facebook profile, of course from my #1 mentor and teacher: Christ! I enjoy very much the emails you forward and I also benefit from your personal journey with the Lord. I hope to continue growing in the Lord and learning to be a better obedient daughter and so my family can see Him through me. Talk to you again soon, many blessings!
